Coastline guardians
At Tidetribe, we work alongside local partners to support and protect Palawan’s coastlines — starting with mangroves.
Mangroves play a critical role in keeping the waters between Coron and El Nido alive, resilient, and thriving. They are the quiet guardians of Palawan’s coastlines—protecting shorelines, nurturing marine life, and storing vast amounts of carbon beneath their roots. Yet across the region, these ecosystems are disappearing.

Rooted.
Our mission is to protect and restore the fragile coastal ecosystems of Palawan while supporting the communities who depend on them. We believe travel should be a force for good — where every trip contributes to conservation and local livelihoods.
Cleaner oceans
Mangrove root systems act as natural filters, trapping pollutants and improving water —helping nearby coral reefs thrive.
Carbon storage
Mangroves store four times more carbon than land forests, making them one of the most powerful natural tools against climate issues
Marine nursuries
They provide essential breeding grounds for fish and marine life supporting biodiversity and sustaining fish.
Coastal protection
Mangroves form a natural barrier against storm surges, helping protect coastal communities from extreme weather.
